Thatcher Elementarys Got Talent!

This year my sweet 6 year old decided that he was going to take part in the Thatcher Elementary Christmas talent show.  It helps that my mother in law is the music teacher and sorta talked him into it.  Anyway I was a little nervous about how he would do in front of a big crowd.  Well....I shouldn't have been.  He did great!! He did a solo of the song Hot Cup of Cocoa.  It brought tears to my eyes to see him up there all grown up and so confident.

All of the classes also did a couple of numbers together as well

Here is Brocks class singing Up on the Housetop.

And here is Jaydens class singing and doin a little dance number to Santa Claus is coming on a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo train.  If you are thinking that you cant see Jayden, its because he was embarrased that he HAD to sing so he is hiding in the back.

It was soo much fun to watch all these cute and talented kids!

Christmas Time!!

Okay so I LOVE Christmas.  From the music, baking, gift giving.....down to the real reason for the season, Our Savior Jesus Christ.  I love decorating  for the holiday with my kiddos and making treats for neighbors (even though I kinda dropped the ball on that one this year, I just couldn't seem to get it together)  This was the first year that we went up as a family and picked out a tree up in the mountains and chopped it down.
So of course I had to snap a pic of my babies after we picked out the Perfect Tree!

We brought it home and went through the lovely task of making it look perfect in the tree stand.  For those of you who know my husband, you will realize that this is a HUGE undertaking.  The tree must look perfect and he will fuss with it until it looks like it belongs on a Christmas card!!!  And that is before we even decorate it.

So here it is pre decoration.

And here is the finished product.  Now let me just say that I made the big mistake of thinking that it would be great to string popcorn and hang that on the tree..... Never again!!!  It took forever to do it seeing as how I was the only one willing to do it and all the kids did was eat the popcorn.  However it did turn out pretty cute so I guess it was worth it.

Christmas day dawned bright and early for us (about 4:30 AM) but its hard for those little kiddos to wait.  They were lucky that apparently they were good enough to warrant a visit from Santa.  Here are just a few little photos of the big day.

I just had to snap a photo of their faces when they saw the presents and I absolutely love the looks on them in this one!

Here they are opening one of their favorite gifts,  BB guns.  I know , I know....You'll shoot your eye out!!  Ha ha they are even Red Ryders..

Another one of my favorites.  All my boys posing in the Jammies that they got from my mom for Christmas.

As I said before, I love Christmas.  I am so grateful for all the fun things that happen during that season.  But I am most grateful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I cannot imagine my life without Him.  I hope you all had a magical and spiritual Christmas Season.

Party Time!

This year we were lucky enough to have Karsens whole family here for Thanksgiving and the Andreasen family Christmas party.  The kids love to be all together with their cousins and have lots of fun.  We are able to have the party at the Elementary school here so they have lots of room to run and play.  Its always a blast and we Love it!

The Warths are Here!

Back in July, one of my besties decided to up and move all the way to Kansas.  I know right!!!!  Anyway, we were delighted to receive a text message on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving letting us know that the Warths decided to come to town for Thanksgiving and wanted to see us.  The kids were thrilled and could hardly wait to see their friends that they miss so much.
